Nice to have a memoir that is not just a misery memoir! I never read Marley and Me (afraid I would sob all the way through as animals are so touching), but I am interested in autobiography so might well give this a try!

This sounds positively refreshing! The only memoirs that I have read tend to be by people who grew up in wildly dysfunctional families. While they have something important to say it's nice to know that someone who had a good childhood can write a good memoir as well!

I didn't realize how many memoirs are about dysfunctional families, but once you mentioned that, I couldn't think of ONE that was about a happy, well-adjusted family! I think it attests to Grogan's story telling ability that so many people are enjoying his memoirs.

Thanks for being on this tour, Becca! As always, your review was fantastic. :)

Spring forward is so horrible that I can't bear fall back either. It doesn't give me extra time....my clocks are all off and my head and body are completely confused.

I'll definitely be reading this...sounds a lot like my family, and around the same era. All I'd have to do is substitute "Tom" for "John" in that quote. Should probably buy a copy for my mother, too.

I have read so many memoirs about the torn, abused, odd families- it would be nice to read one about a normal, relatively happy family. And I did so like Marley and Me!
