Celebrate Today

This past week has been “all about me” – really, it has  – and I must say, it’s been just wonderful.  Rarely have I had a birthday celebration so fulfilling.  Honestly, I’ve completely forgotten about getting another year older.  And I think that’s as it should be.  After all, a birthday should be about celebrating LIFE – ongoing and improving, with all the promise for a bright tomorrow.

(Can you tell I’ve been in Disney World for the past three days?)

But of course, no celebration is complete for this Ravenous Reader without reading.  During my holiday I’ve devoured Laurie King’s Segregation of the Queen; Erica Baumeister’s, School of Essential Ingredients; and have just delved into Janice Lee’s, The Piano Teacher.

Although I’ve been so busy having fun, I’m beginning to feel a familiar itch in my fingertips…where’s the keyboard? they’re asking me.  So more words will be forthcoming, as the celebrating now winds to a close.

In the meantime, some more photos to keep you amused.

  2. Happy Birthday, Becca! Disney bespeaks a very happy occasion!

I hope you enjoy The Piano teacher, which I’ll save until my vacation next month. But it’s very difficult to resist it now.

  3. Happy Belated Birthday Becca! Sounds like you had a wonderful time and I think it’s lovely that you turned it into a whole week of celebration – that’s the way it should be! 🙂
